After 10 years of soccer and 6 years of racing motocross & supercross, I made the transition to cycling in 1998. I have primarily raced mountain bikes & cyclocross with road as more of a training grounds until this year racing with Eclipse on the Masters road squad. I raced a limited schedule this year after coming off a 3 year layoff, but managed to finish 2nd place at both the AZ State Cyclocross and AZ State Criterium Championships. In 2004, I was the #3 ranked masters mtb racer in the nation, won both the North & South Carolina State Mtb Championships, and won three AMBC races in a row. I was also a two time undefeated Georgia State Cyclocross series champ in consecutive years.
I moved to Oro Valley in August 2007 from Murphy, NC with my wife, Dawn, of 24 years and our sons Keith (16) and Kevin (13). We were all originally born in Miami, FL so the cold winters in NC got to be too much for us. The great weather, outdoor activities, and friendly people here in Tucson enticed us to make the move.
